There was one Xmas when me and my international student friends had no food in the house and had lost track of the days. So, it was Xmas and we were scrambling to find something, anything to eat.

One of my friends was wanting to start biting into a frozen pizza before cooking it on our drive home. He's a person who was always trying to find a shortcut to success. By this video's analogy, he didn't want to take the time to do everything properly. That's a profound realization for me. No snark.

We were all in a panicked state. But he was willing to cross a line...

And we were a bunch of dopey college guys. When I say there was no food, the cupboards were literally bare. The only way anyone was going to get protein was if we'd resorted to cannibalism or vandalism of a restaurant.
