Back in the summer after sophomore year at KU, my friend D said he needed to borrow money for a few days to pay his rent, and I'd have it right back. I stupidly gave him the money and then he proceeded to not repay me in time. I had to sell some of my CD's to get the money together to get my rent paid.

I hounded that dude every day for weeks, and he kept saying he'd pay me back. The debt was repaid at the end of the summer. He'd borrowed the money from yet another friend to get me off his back.

A few years later, my pal T was telling me that he needed money, and that he'd lent some money to D. I told T that we needed to get that dough back. T had basically written it off, but I was like, "Nah son. He has a job now, so he can pay you." We met up with him, and when T asked D, D got mad and said, "Aw man! Just because I got money now, you're going to come for it???" I told T to stand his ground, and D ended up paying him back.
