One of the most inspiring work karma stories I've ever encountered personally was the following:

A lady, let's call her Jane, began to work for my company. She was a contracts manager and was pretty good at her job. The director then left, and Jane was sure she'd be promoted. Well, the VP tried to string her along and make her do the director's job without the pay. Jane was not having it, so she quit.

She ended up moving on to a competitor. A few month later, said competitor acquired my division of the company. And Jane ended up being the boss of both the legacy and acquired teams. It was the most beautiful karma I witnessed while working there.
