Craigslist Sarah Palin
Everyone is catching strays from Lyz Lenz this week.
Dingus of the week: Definitely not Joyce Carol Oates:
The Epstein Files:
Laura Ingraham is one to talk, since her whole vibe is every blonde suburban housewife who drinks too much white wine and takes her son High-Caliber Rifle Ingraham’s adderall.
Craigslist Sarah Palin was summoned by a team from the White House, which included that walking 2chan message board Kash Patel. While everyone involved has issued denials, it sure seems like the goal of the meeting was to get Boebert to change her mind. But she held firm. And it’s amazing that the woman who is really just a bunch of AR-15 parts stuffed into a skin suit stood more on principle than Tim Kaine this week.
Apparently Trump also tried to call TERFy McGee — another signatory on the relevant petition — this week, but she missed the call and they’ve been playing phone tag. And, once again, this is a rat-king situation, but isn’t this her job? What was she doing that she couldn’t take a call from the president? Was she busy spray-painting “Antifa wuz here” on her garage door? Was she lurking around a woman’s restroom, kicking down the stall doors, yelling, “AHAHA I SEE YOU PENIS!”?
Joyce Carol Oates is coming for Elon Musk:
So curious that such a wealthy man never posts anything that indicates that he enjoys or is even aware of what virtually everyone appreciates— scenes from nature, pet dog or cat, praise for a movie, music, a book (but doubt that he reads); pride in a friend’s or relative’s accomplishment; condolences for someone who has died; pleasure in sports, acclaim for a favorite team; references to history. In fact he seems totally uneducated , uncultured. The poorest persons on Twitter may have access to more beauty & meaning in life than the “most wealthy person in the world.”
I AM NOT MAD! Musk protested — though she hadn’t even named him. He called Oates’ prose “laborious drivel.” Which just shows he hasn’t enjoyed a book, because her prose is not laborious.
Then, someone named avidreader1000 came with this:
Wherever he goes, he wants to leave: SA, Canada, ultimately the U.S. in the long run, based on his behavior. This also includes Earth. A continuous disavowal of your home is odd, to say the least. He seems to have no capacity for a normal level of appreciation.
To which Oates replied:
"wherever he goes, he wants to leave"-- that's because when he gets there, he has brought his own self along; & whatever club he's invited to join has been devalued by the invitation.
