I am but a small girl

Dingus of the week: Lindsey Halligan:

Your honor, I am but a small girl. I cannot be expected to know things like the law or how to do my job.

Halligan once interned for the Innocence Project. Which she must have hated, because she threw her whole career on the line to work for Donald Trump’s Criminal Project, or what most people call his second term.

Before she became interim US attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, Halligan spent her time trying to bowdlerize the Smithsonian, which I apparently means walking through museums calling naked statues sluts, accusing different exhibitions that focus on other countries of not focusing enough on America, and getting mad at any reference to anything that might imply America isn’t big, strong, and handsome. It has literally never done anything wrong in its entire life!

Halligan got the job simply because she would not let any little thing like scruples, morals, legal precedent, a lack of evidence, or the fact that it’s highly illegal to use the law to go after political enemies stop her. It’s #Girlboss as a legal strategy.

I don’t want to be condescending and take away the agency of her incompetence. It’s 2025; women can be dumb-dumbs at the same levels as men! As always, this is very inspiring.

... what if our first female president was a she-wolf? #Gaslight #GateEat #GirlBrawl? No, I’ll keep workshopping.
